Description
The intervention involved the redevelopment of a predominantly unused building in an advanced state of decay which is part of a complex of buildings arranged around an internal courtyard called Villa della Amicizia; the main body dating back to the 15th century was the subject of redevelopment in the years 2000-2004 and used as a municipal library. The architectural complex is included in the ancient nucleus of Ca'Righetti, which, stretching along the ridge of a hill, overlooks Valletta in a dominant position, a green area immersed in a suggestive landscape.
The building subject to the intervention has a rectangular plan and is located adjacent to the main building of which it originally represented the service part; The ground floor is occupied by the Alpine headquarters while the upper floors were unused.
