Project lines
The Church of Sant'Agostino is a very particular church with a legend that characterizes it.
It was built at the end of the 14th century on a previous church, San Salvatore in muro, and on the adjacent Augustinian monastery.
The interior maintains the original layout of a single nave with three apse chapels.
The characterizing architectural element is the high wooden truss.
The intervention aims to bring a respectful, soft and welcoming light onto the nave and the faithful, keeping the vertical perimeter walls in light dim light.
Explosion of light in the area that gathers the gaze of the faithful, the altar, through rows of accent projectors hidden behind the last trusses.
While the side chapels are treated with projectors above the capitals for the accent of the vaults and for the paintings.
