In ordinary life, light is experienced unconsciously, it is very difficult to read its qualities and for this reason it is even more complex to determine it by designing it.
"Architecture without light is not architecture" says Alberto Campo Baeza who has made his work a constant search for light.
It is matter and material: from the sunlight that covers a building, which modifies the perception of the same and which is captured and propagated in internal environments, to the use of artificial light which becomes the central element of the construction and creation of space.
Whether invited to stand out or reveal, it is important for us that a professional knows how to immerse himself in what surrounds him, grasp its harmony and respect the identity of the place.
Born in Bergamo on 01.21.1993.
He trained at the Polytechnic of Milan at the Faculty of Architecture where he obtained a master's degree in Technological and Environmental Design.
His first approach to lighting engineering took place during his studies, but he became definitively passionate about light during his collaboration of around two years at the Ferrara Palladino Lightscape studio in Milan, where he developed the approach to the tailor-made lighting project.
In 2018 he joined the lighting design hub of a company in the sector in Bergamo.
For him, light must integrate with the environment, not invade or distort it, it must respect the nature of places and people.
If on the one hand natural light highlights the contours and masses of buildings, on the other hand artificial lighting can create a profoundly different sensorial effect thanks to the possibility of inserting volumes, floors and surfaces which disappear again when it re-enters the scene natural lighting.
In January 2023 he decided to undertake a new experience and co-founded Luxfabrica.
Born in Bergamo on 02.09.1960.
Technically trained at I.T.I.S. Bergamo specialized in applied lighting engineering at SIMENS AG - Munich (D), museum lighting at ERCO AG, architectural and landscape lighting at BEGA AG.
Establishes, trains and coordinates the lighting design hub within a Bergamo company spread throughout the national territory, dealing with the lighting design of important historical and religious monuments, art galleries, art galleries, libraries, commercial galleries, centers conferences, theatres, in the residential and landscape sectors, comparing ourselves with reference professional figures.
Mario is aware that man uses light to characterize places in space, not only concretely, but considering light as a means that transports contents, information and emotions, he designs convinced that light is everything that exists between brightness and darkness, exploring its countless options, defining the thickness of light, determining its standards and quality.
